A Story Steeped in Sound

Michele McCain is a New York City native appreciated for her extraordinary talent throughout the world. This multi-talented artist of the stage and screen began her career at New York’s Shea Stadium in front of 60,000 people where she performed with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.

Her Broadway debut was in the musical Ain`t Misbehavin' of the Tony Award-winning, the author Thomas Wright Waller known as Fats Waller performing in the roll created for Nell Carter led to North American and International tours. Michele appeared in the German production of Barnum in Berlin’s Teater des Westens with Freddy Quinn. The next leg of Michele’s travels would take her to Madrid, where she performed as Joyce Heath with Emilio Aragon in the Spanish version of The Broadway Musical Barnum. This virtuosic and dynamic artist has had the privilege to share the stage with many music legends and stars throughout the world some of which have included blues and jazz greats such as B.B King, Hank Jones, Clark Terry and internationally acclaimed jazz artist Tete Montoliu. Sharing the bill with Grammy award-winning Blue’s man Charlie Musselwhite.

You can hear her singing also a Reggae song like "Spark Up" in the film 'Twice Upon a Yesterday' with Penelope Cruz,  on a classic James Taylor’s song “Don’t Let me Be Lonely Tonight” released in 98’ or on Exodus-Jamaican Vibes (Weekend Records/Vale Music) released back In 2000.

Michele's voice has starred in commercial spots of tv, cinema and radio singing versions of songs so famous such as Quando Quando, Quando for Heineken's or Nina Simone’s I am feeling good for Siemens.

Michele also appeared with the grand diva Celia Cruz in a Tribute to Xavier Cugat, and collaborated with recording the album Verde y Negro to share billing with "La mas grande” Rocio Jurado and many other great Spanish artists. With names like this one can only grow.

 Michele’s movie career began when she played Marilyn in “The Milky Life”, which was nominated for the 43rd Golden Bear Award, starring with legendary actor Mickey Rooney and Marianne Sagerbrecht who starred in the critically acclaimed Baghdad Café and War of the Roses. She also appeared as Mamacita in the Italian mini-series “The Stolen Dream, where she worked along side the great Italian actor Massimo Ghini and television actress Tosca D’Aquino. Additional film credits include Didi in the movie “R2 y el Caso del Cadaver sin Cabeza” where she performed four songs in the movie.

The Rock Musical “Quo Vadis” performed in the Roman Theater in Merida (Spain), where she played Popea to over 20,000 people in ten days co-starring with one of the most popular Spanish showman/actor and one of her mentors Javier Gurruchaga in a musical marriage that has lasted over 17 years. She also starred in “Moments of Rock & Roll which won an award for Best Musical.

On the TV Reality ShowPop StarsTele5 Spain Michele auditioned over 30,000 young women who only five would eventually become the next girl group, Bellepop, on the Warner Brothers Recording label.

From the Blind Boys of Alabama to Basement Jaxx, the list goes on and would be too long to name everyone, but Michele will always be grateful to each and every artist she has met along her musical journey.

Michele can be seen as a no nonsense (insensanta) Police Woman in one of the most popular Spanish TV series Dr. Mateo in 2010 and in 2011 in the German Catalan movie Implosion as MME ESSOH.

Some of her latest work include her performance live on Mega TV in Miami with TV presenter and humorist Alexis Valdes “Esta noche…Tu Night” singing the salsa version of Gladys Knight & The Pips song "Midnight Train To Georgia", and at the opening of one of the most prestige club in the world Up & Down in Moscow (Russia).

In 2011 she joined Queen Symphonic Rhapsody as a one of the main solists singers, being the current 2013 the third year on tour getting greats success in each and every shows as well Symphonic Of Abba, Pink Floyd and History Of Rock Show.

Michele’s dance and house tracks have gained international acclaim, collaborating with some of the most renowned Spanish and International producers and are available on hit CD compilations like El Divino, Flamenco Groove, Technics…and released on various labels in Spain, USA, UK, Swiss, Brazil and also on her own label Marivent Music International, which she formed together with her music producer BKR in the year 2010. Some of them released with her pseudonym names Ms.M, Ms M, or Miss M. Michele’s new album Marivent Soul and some of her latest songs have been already remixed by multi-platinum awarded Philadelphia Mix Master Gene Leone.

This larger than-life singer, songwriter, actress, singing phenomena, diva, a belter & wonderfully charismatic… are just a few of the superlatives that have been used to describe Michele. A world-class performer!. To see her is to believe in her… soon Michele will be bringing ¡¡¡Ms. M is Back!!! with classic and original songs into clubs and discos around the globe.

Currently she is working on the 50th Anniversary  with The Les Humphries Singers which has already gained a Platinum Album for the song Cool,  duet with the Austrian Supergroup The Seer.
